Mike Owens is a skilled country artist with a deep, calm, bass-baritone voice coupled with a somber tone. Mike Owens incorporates the elements of Bluegrass into his music, showcasing his unique talents on guitar, harmonica and mandolin across various genres while staying deeply rooted in country music.

Mike began playing at the age of nine and was greatly influenced by his father, Sam Owens, and his Uncle Jack. Mike realized his love of music after winning his first talent show and continued to win awards even through high school.

Mike was in constant demand to play in bands and later fronted three of his own. As country music began to change Mike turned to his deep family roots and the love of bluegrass.

Mike was offered a position to become President for the North Bay Bluegrass Association which he did for four years. Mike has won awards for his bluegrass music over the years and keeping his song writing true to traditional country music.

After all, if your foot ain’t tappin and your heart ain’t hurtin it ain’t country.
